alternative process
My alternative-process images use layers of digital and darkroom or analog processes - for example, cyanotyping acetate negatives printed from digital scans of film photographs.
places
“No place is boring, if you’ve had a good night’s sleep and have a pocket full of unexposed film.”
-Robert Adams
anaglyph: animal room
These images appear 3D when viewed using red/cyan glasses.
These portraits of wild animals in a private collection of hunting trophies muddy the line between real and replica, fascinating and horrifying. Through 3D glasses the animals come to life, their expressions ranging from quiet wisdom to snarling anger at their eternity in captivity.
These images were shot digitally with a stereo lens. The stereo pairs were converted to anaglyphs.
analgyph: cement cemetery
These images appear 3D when viewed using red/cyan glasses.
This series explores the deterioration of modern concrete structure into the lonely prairie landscape.
These images were shot using a stereo film camera, then digital scans of the stereo pairs were converted into anaglyphs.
